Q47 Of The Efficient Cause Of Christ's Passion
< previous   Prologue   next >

Prologue   A1   A2   A3   A4   A5   A6

We have now to consider the efficient cause of Christ's Passion, concerning which there are six points of inquiry:

A1 Whether Christ was slain by others, or by Himself?

A2 From what motive did He deliver Himself up to the Passion?

A3 Whether the Father delivered Him up to suffer?

A4 Whether it was fitting that He should suffer at the hands of the Gentiles, or rather of the Jews?

A5 Whether His slayers knew who He was?

A6 Of the sin of them who slew Christ.
