Prologue   A1   A2   A3   A4   A5   A6   A7   A8

We must next consider pride, and (1) pride in general; (2) the first man's sin, which we hold to have been pride. Under the first head there are eight points of inquiry:

A1 Whether pride is a sin?

A2 Whether it is a special vice?

A3 Wherein does it reside as in its subject?

A4 Of its species;

A5 Whether it is a mortal sin?

A6 Whether it is the most grievous of all sins?

A7 Of its relation to other sins;

A8 Whether it should be reckoned a capital vice?
